Water Dancers
Water Dancers, celebrates the embodiment of the divine feminine moving graciously through water, a subject that brings me a great source of inspiration.
Interpretive Realism is my preferred genre. This allows me to paint my subjects in their raw beauty but with an expressionistic flare of energy, light and color. “ The Divine Feminine represents the connection to the part of your consciousness responsible for nurture, intuition, and empathy, regardless of your gender. The divine water goddess wraps herself in the color blue of water, which is the activation color for the Third Eye, her intuition is deep and awakened and free to experience life on her own terms. The scarves represent a connection to the earthly world, and by removing them, the goddess bares her true, naked self with the willingness for transformation. I am also intrigued by shadows and I challenge the viewer to address the “Shadow self” in some of my paintings and how we can embrace and learn from this part of ourselves. My inspiration in the studio every Morning is to continue to explore and celebrate the beauty in feminine energy, and as I paint the many patterns of water, on canvas, I too dance with water in its ever changing form and beauty. |
